Time: After MoP launch and the remains after the quick fix.
Context: Opening Gem UI will crash the game. This is consistent with players with 4k screen regardless of in game resolution. opening gem UI in anyway will cause the crash (even right clicking gems in inventory)
Expected: Gem UI opening.
Observed: Game crashes.
Temporary Fix:
1. Open NVIDIA control panel by right clicking on desktop.
2. Under Display, click change resolution.
3. change resolution to 1080p.
4. launch the game and use 1080p as in game resolution.
5. You should now be able to open the Gem tab without crashing.
*Changing the DESKTOP resolution back to 4k will not cause the game to crash again, even if you relaunch the game.
*Using 4K for in game resolution will again result in crash regardless of your desktop resolution.
*I have only tested this on my computer. This fix might not work for all and should be patched asap.
