Shadow Hunter's Arrow of the Goddess Bug

Time:
September 4th, 2019 at 11:00 AM (-7:00 UTC)

Description:
After some testing, I have concluded Shadow Hunter's Arrow of the Goddess ability contains a bug: if a Mark is placed upon the Target by either Shadow Whispers or Arrow of the Goddess, the Arrow of the Goddess's strike will deal only the exploded Mark's damage - not its own damage and the explosion combined.

Current Work-Around:
Be a good distance away from the Target, about 15 blocks or further, before striking with Arrow of the Goddess.

Again I'm console and can't text.

The legendary npcs only staying 4 1 hour seems like a pain and not a lot of fun.
Why not just have them stay 4 24 hours?
This seems like a way more fun of a way to play and grind.

Starting on September 5 at 2 AM PDT / 11 AM CEST for approximately 4 hours we will have a Glyph server maintenance that will temporarily disable the forums and new purchases on PC platforms. In-game purchases made using existing credits, console purchases and purchases made through steam should still be possible.

During this maintenance, the game should still be playable, but the forums and PC purchases will be down. For any news or updates, join our community Discords and look for messages on Twitter during this maintenance.

Thanks so much for playing and understanding everyone.

Is magic find worth the dragon grind?

$

Currently sitting at ~1200 MF grinding C3 gear. I read that the crystal level is RNG but MF determines frequency of crystal drops. My question is; will the extra magic find make a substantial difference in crystal drops for grinding or is it a negligible bonus that I should worry about grinding dragons for?

Is there any way to display incomming damage?

Just as the title says: is there any command or function or mod or whatever that allows me to keep track of damage that I recive myself from monsters?

In the actual test, I wanted to test the Darkness stat from ,,Pixel" Ally. But even outside of this specific test, it would be a very useful thing to have for testers.

I also tried to make screenshots after a certain enemy did hit me with the same attack while I had full health, but I was never able to get 2 same numbers for about 10 minutes of testing because of Health Regeneration.

So ultimatelly I need a way to either kill all of my Health Regeneration for testing purpose or any other way to actually make incomming damage visible.

Help please :(

Rally of Heroes bug

Since a few days ago I have the problem that I cannot spawn two of the five NPCs of the Rally of Heroes fixture.
First it was only one where this happened, now it is two. At least one VP has also tried it with no luck. This is in my own club where I am president so it cannot be a permissions issue since president cannot have any permissions disabled.
Now it is not even possible to remove the fixture and create it again.

Is trove worth it?

Hello everyone,
Greetings,

A friend of mine and I started playing trove today. I know that some will say that a single day is too soon, but we don't necessarily have a butload of hour to sink into it, and as far was we've seen, it's doing the same kind of dungeon over and over.

What I would like to know is: Is there any real end game? Is there anything beyond doing open world little dungeon, or is there something bigger/more challenging?

Thanks for your time and have a good day ;-)

Moonlight Temper Not Dropping

I've opened over 600 Superior Compost Heaps (over 250,000 flux worth of Glim alone) since the game came back from the "12-hour" extended downtime and not one single Moonlight Temper has dropped. 400 of these were opened in a single sitting so, it's not just extremely bad luck. Something is broken. Without Moonlight Temper, alchemy gardening isn't possible. If this item is "common", why isn't it dropping?

Item description: Commonly contains Concentrated Compost and Moonlight Temper, but may also contain Alchemy Plant Seed Recipes, Cookie Musk, or other goodies.

BUG: Pixel does not work correctly

$

  • Time: PTS. First test done at 4th Sept, 2019. Second test (thanx due forum downtime) for reconfirmation today on 19th Sept, 2019.
  • Context: The stats of Pixel states that this ally grants +1% Adventurine and +50 Dark. But in fact, Adventurine gain is not affected and Dark seems to have no effect neither.
  • Expected:
    • i) While having the ally ,,Pixel" epquipped, I get more adventurine than without.
    • ii) I also expected that I get less damage while ,,Pixel" is epquipped, because of the ,,Dark" stat.
  • Observed:
    • i) As tested on multiple days, Having Pixel epquipped has a bugged ZERO effect on Adventurine gain. Test 1 while Pixel was epquipped the whole time, on Wednesday, 4th Sept 2019:
      • Outpost Quest from ,,Beacon of Heroes" gives 75 Adventurine (Expected: 76)
      • Outpost Quest from the water guy in Drowned U9-World gives 75 Adventurine (Expected: 76)
      • Uncommon Club Adventure from Katonnis gives 200 Adventurine (Expected: 202)
      • Common Club Adventure from the Medival-NPC gives 150 Adventurine (Expected: 151 or 152)
      • Geodian Outpost Quest on Topside to clear two 5-star-dungeons gives 350 Adventurine (Expected: 353 or 354)
      • Geodian Outpost Quest in Sanctuary to collect 75 inorganics gives 350 Adventurine (Expected: 353 or 354)
      • Test with an Adventurine Potion drunk and then completing the Outpost-Quest to collect Fire Gem Boxes gives 112 Adventurine (Expected: 113 or 114)
    • Test on 19th Sept 2019, for reconfirmation. Note: this day is a thursday and therefore got that +50% Adventurine bonus
      • Epic Club Adventure from Snackle gives (300+150=) 450 Adventurine while Pixel is epquipped (Expected: 453 or 454 or 455)
      • Epic Club Adventure from Snackle gives (300+150=) 450 Adventurine while Cotton Candy is epquipped (Expected: 450)
      • Epic Club Adventure from Snackle gives (300+150=) 450 Adventurine while Prefect Penguin is epquipped (Expected: 450)
    • ii) Testing ,,Dark" did result in too much inconsistence due to the fact that Health Regeneration does instantly kick in after reciving damage. Therefore it was not possible to determine an exact difference since no 2 same incoming damage numbers could have been recorded under the exact same conditions from the exact same enemies after testing the same U9-enemy for about 40 minutes, a Forbidden Spire Sheep's weak bump. But having Pixel epquipped or not seems to result in 'about the same' incomming damage no matter if or if not ,,Pixel" is epquipped. (Average of recorded numbers are about 64635 incomming damage)
      • I kindly ask a GM to test incomming damage with Pixel and without Pixel from the same enemy which attacks with the same attack with a modified character that has 0 Health Regeneration. The test should be started only after fully healing up the character.
  • Repro Steps:
    • i) Finish any quest without Pixel. Then finish the exact same quest again with Pixel and see how you still get the very exact same amount of Adventurine.
    • ii) Use a modified character with 0 Health Regeneration and have a look on your health points after the same attack did hit you. Once with Pixel epquipped and another time with no Ally epquipped. Since Dark is supposed to decrease incomming damage, the incomming damage while Pixel is epquipped should be smaller (and remaining Health is supposed to be higher)

BUG: Luminopolis Biomes can look like Neon City Biomes

$

0
  • Time: PTS, 4th Sept 2019
  • Context: When I entered a world, the spawn biome was a Luminopolis biome, but on the map it looks like a Neon City biome.
  • Expected: I expected that with this update, all Neon City Biomes have the darker coulor and the Luminopolis have the grey-ish coulor.
  • Observed: Just the biome where you end up when joining a world via Atlas is mixed up and displays a wrong biome type on map.
  • Screenshots:

OVERSIGHT: Leviathan dungeons can easily be permanently locked for all players

$

0
  • Time: PTS, 19th Sept 2019.
  • Context: If someone places blocks over the purple portal inside the Leviathan boss room then all players that try to enter the Lair will be teleported to the next air block above the inner purple portal. Because walls on the sides are no longer destructible, people can no longer enter this dungeon the intended way.
  • Expected: I expected that with the indestructibility of the Leviathan Lair, the purple portal would become unblockable.
  • Observed: I blocked the purple portal as shown in the screenshot and saw how another player could no longer enter the Lair.
  • Repro Steps: Find a Leviathan Lair. Then place blocks over the purple portal just like in the screenshot (make sure there is no air block above the purple portal inside the Lair's boss room) and then watch in shameless joy how other players in full desperation and agony get teleported on the surface of the dungeon over and over again whenever they try to use the purple portal at the Lair's entrance. FOR ETERNITY!! MWUHAHAHAHA!! *cough cough*
  • Suggestion for a solution: Do not allow players to place blocks at the 2 spots that the purple portal does cover.

(Possible) OVERSIGHT: You can use Orign Portal Potion while fighting Leviathans

$
0
0
  • Time: PTS, 19th Sept 2019.
  • Context: Players can simply refill flasks by throwing an Orign Portal Potion and using it. This does work at any time, even in the middle of a Leviathan fight. Out of flasks? No problemo: Just use this, recover all flasks and continue with your DPS build. If at least 1 other player stays inside the boss room, then there is completelly no downside at all to this tactic. On the other side: this would finally make serious use of those potions, so not sure if it is intended or an oversight.
  • Expected: I expected that it would have at least some kind of downside if you left in the middle of the fight to refill your flasks.
  • Observed: No downsides, as long as you are not away when other people kill the boss.
  • Repro Steps: Throw an Orign Portal Potion in the middle of a Leviathan boss fight. Press E to end up at an outpost where you can recover your flasks. Press E at the portal at the outpost to return to the fight.
  • Screenshots:

OVERSIGHT: Blocks, that Leviathans can not destroy

$
0
0
  • Time: PTS, 19th Sept 2019.
  • Context: There are at least 3 types of blocks that Leviathans can not destroy during a fight: Ice blocks created by ,,Illuri of the North Wind", gold blocks created by ,,Ganda, the Sky Shepherd" and all types of water blocks that you can produce by ,,Palashien, Soul of the Sea" (water Primodial Dragon).
  • Expected: I expected that at the very moment when the boss causes blocks to disappear, that Water, Ice and Gold blocks will also disappear.
  • Observed: Those mentioned blocks remain while other blocks disappear. Also: by using mentioned blocks, it is possible to create scenarios where players can shoot the boss from literally 2 blocks below the ceilling of the Lair.
  • Repro Steps:
    • i) Use Ganda to create a platform without bothering going through the other steps. Activate the Skulls and see how the boss can not destroy the blocks below Ganda.
    • ii) Place random blocks and shoot them with Palashien to create water core blocks. Activate the skulls and watch how this water is completelly unaffected by poor Leviathan.
    • iii) Place random blocks, shoot them with Palashien to turn them into water core blocks and then stand on those water core blocks with Illuri (make sure to have a different respawn timing while doing so, so you wont sink). Then activate the Skulls and see how all of Leviathans scratching attacks do not even slightly affect the mighty overpowered ice blocks of awesomeness.
  • Possible Solution: Let Leviathans be able to remove those blocks.
  • Screenshots: Yea, that water will stay there the whole fight, unless a player decides to remove it manually.

OVERSIGHT: U9 and U10 Leviathans can not attack players

$
0
0
  • Time: PTS. First scenario in U10 at 3rd Sept 2019. 2nd scenario in U9 at 19th Sept 2019.
  • Context:
    • i) Standing at a certain spot inside the Lair of a U10-Leviathan makes the Leviathan not be able to damage the players on this spot anymore.
    • ii) In U9, it is even easier: You just need to stand on any spot that is high enough and the Leviathan is completelly powerless.
  • Expected: I truly believed that there is absolutelly no spot where you can just chill, hold the mouse button down and wait for the Leviathan to die. This does make it a piece of cake to just completelly solo that boss on your own, even with a full DPS glass cannon set. And for U10 this is just ridiculous!
  • Observed: I
    • i) Standing at a certain spot (screenshot 1 and 2) in U10 makes the Leviathan be unable to damage the player that it tries to reach.
    • ii) If you stand on any point inside the room high enough over the boss, then the boss has no chance to attack you. For example this spot (screenshot 3)
  • Repro Steps: I
  • i) Not quite sure. Another player did do it during that fight and I have no intention to mess around on PTS finding another U10 Leviathan biome where you have to wait ages until a new world can be created.
  • ii) Stand in U9 at any spot that is high enough over the Leviathan (for example the spot in screenshot 3). Hold the attack-button until the boss is dead.
  • Additional note: This is the most ridiculous technique, but actually there are even more ways that make a Leviathan be never able to hit you. One beeing is running in a circle around the room while constantly staying out of the range that a Leviathan needs to launch an attack. An Ice Sage does make this tactic significantly easier.
  • Screenshots:
Screenshot 1: A certain spot in U10 makes the Leviathan unable to hit the player

and Screenshot 2:

Screenshot 3: In U9 you just need to be high enough and the Leviathan is powerless...
