  • There are 3 versions of these Leviathans, each with their own giant and dangerous abilities.
  • The 8 players who defeat the most Leviathans each day will receive an Ego Potion.
    • Ego Potions can be used to temporarily increase the size of the player’s head.
    • Unused Ego Potions will vanish during each weekly reset.
  • Defeating a Leviathan gives an increased chance of dropping Crystal 3 equipment along with Lesser Geode Topside Caches. While the drop rates increase with higher ubers, Crystal 3 equipment can drop from a Leviathan in U-8.
  • Leviathans also drop Torches, which grant Light and are equipped in the Banner slot.
  • Tempered Torches can be crafted at the Sunseeker’s Crystalforge by combining Fragile Torches and other materials.
  • Tempered Torches only last until the weekly reset at 11 AM UTC on Mondays.
  • Fragile Torches last only until the next daily reset at 11 AM UTC.
General Adventure Updates
  • Adventure Heroes now have an exclamation point over their heads.
    • Yellow exclamation points indicate a Trovian Adventure Hero.
    • Blue exclamation points indicate a Geodian Adventure Hero.
    • Green exclamation points indicate an Event Adventure Hero.
  • All Adventures from Adventure Heroes now state what type of adventure is being accepted.
  • The Adventures window (default hotkey I or Activities > Adventures in the Quick Menu) now has additional information about how to find adventures.
Club Adventures
  • The Club Daily Experience Cap has been increased to 100,000 for all clubs, big and small.
  • The Club Adventure reward cap has been reduced to 20. Rewards have been rebalanced for this change.
  • The current Club Adventure limit has been increased to 5 (from 3) but Adventures taken from any Club counts towards this cap, rather than tracking Clubs the player is a member of separately.
  • Completing Club Adventures and crafting Clubits have a chance to spawn a Club Pinata.
  • The Requirement to place the Respite of Heroes has been reduced to club level 3.
  • Adventures now give a consistent amount of base Adventurine based on the rarity of the Adventure Hero who gives the adventure.
    • Common Adventures give 150 Adventurine.
    • Uncommon Adventures give 200 Adventurine.
    • Rare Adventures give 250 Adventurine.
    • Epic Adventures give 300 Adventurine.
    • Legendary Adventures give 350 Adventurine.
  • The rarities for Club Adventure Heroes have been adjusted.
    • The Mysterious Champion is now Rare instead of Common.
    • Neologus is now Uncommon instead of Rare.
    • Lady Seldarine is now Common instead of Uncommon.
    • Dracantes is now Uncommon instead of Epic.
    • Katonnis is now Uncommon instead of Rare.
    • Chief Brosquatch is now Common instead of Uncommon.
    • Irran-Shu is now Uncommon instead of Epic.
  • Club Adventure Heroes no longer fall asleep.
  • Club Adventure Hero removal cost has been normalized, it now costs 200 clubits to remove any adventure hero.
  • All Adventure Heroes of a given rarity now hang around for the same length of time
    • Common Adventure Heroes last for 24 hours.
    • Uncommon Adventure Heroes last for 12 hours.
    • Rare Adventure Heroes last for 6 hours.
    • Epic Adventure Heroes last for 3 hours.
    • Legendary Adventure Heroes last for 1 hour.
  • Many club adventures no longer have quest text as the title itself is enough to describe the text.
  • Club Adventure Heroes have had their available adventures reworked so they each give one Adventure.
  • Snarkle no longer accepts chaos chests that come from claims, but will now accept golden chaos chests.
  • The Mysterious Champion now gives an Adventure to deal 100,000 damage in Bomber Royale or win a match.
  • Yoshimi Is now located on the Beacon of Heroes instead of spawning at the Rally of Heroes and grants permanent access to an Outpost Adventure to defeat 15 Luminopolis enemies.
    • This adventure provides the same amount of XP and Adventurine as other outpost Adventures. It also counts against the Outpost Adventure daily limit.
  • Yoshimi will only appear for Beacon of Heroes placed after this patch, so some clubs may need to remove and replace the Beacon of Heroes. To help pay for this, all players with at least 20 Mastery and log in within 24 hours of the patch will receive 50 Clubits.
Geodian Outpost Adventures
  • Geodian Topside and Geode Cave Adventures are now both considered to be Geodian Outpost Adventures.
  • Only one Geodian Outpost Adventure can be active at a time.
  • The Geodian Outpost Adventure reward cap has been reduced to 5 as they can only be completed one at a time. The rewards have been increased to compensate for this.
  • Geodian Outpost Adventures now give 350 Adventurine as a reward.
  • The Geode Cave Adventure Pebbles have relocated next to the cave portals, where they figured they were more likely to get Trovians to stop and help.
  • The mining Pebble no longer wants inorganics from the caves and is now looking for Builder's Crates.
  • The amount of organics and critters needed to complete the Geode Cave Adventures have been increased.
  • The Geode Topside dungeon completion adventure has been replaced with a Mining adventure.
  • The requirements for the Complete a 5 Star Dungeon Adventure have been reduced to 2 (down from 3).
  • Completing a Geodian Cave Adventure has a chance to provide a Reliquary. Now how did that sneak into your inventory?
  • Completing Geodian Topside Adventures has a chance to provide a Lesser Geodian Topside Cache.
Trovian Outpost Adventures
  • The Outpost of Light now appears on the map as an Adventure Outpost. These Outposts in Igneous Islands and Drowned Worlds have been redecorated with Saltwater Sam, a Nautical Assembler, and a Personal Chest.
  • Adventure Outposts can spawn in every biome. Beginning with the Permafrost World, players will always enter Prime and Elemental at an Adventure Outpost.
  • Outpost Shrines have also been renamed Adventure Outposts, and their adventures are considered to be Trovian Outpost Adventures.
  • Each Trovian Outpost Adventure can only be completed once per day.
  • Trovian Outpost Adventures now give 75 Adventurine each.
  • An Outpost Merchant can be found on Adventure Outposts who will trade Adventurine for Adventurine Strongbox Keys, Bombs, or an Adventurer’s Lunchbox.
  • There are now Adventure Heroes at the Adventure Outpost for each biome that have unique adventures.
    • In elemental worlds, the Adventure Outposts where players enter the world will always have a Hero which gives the appropriate Collect 5 Gem Boxes adventure. These Adventure Outposts can be identified by their dragon headed prows.
    • In Drowned Worlds and Igneous Islands, other Adventure Outposts may have an appropriately dressed Boothilda who requests players find fish in that world.
  • All Trovian Outpost Adventure Heroes in Luminopolis now offer one specific adventure.
    • A new Spider Hero has been added that provides the existing plasmium adventure. This hero can be found on the pink towers outpost where the sugar glider kami was previously located.
    • The centaur kami now asks for any Neon City dungeon to be completed rather than specifying Luminopolis dungeons.
    • The fish kami now asks only for fish rather than sometimes asking for plasmium.
    • The griffin kami now asks only for defeating enemies rather than sometimes asking specifically for punchbots to be defeated.
    • The tortoise kami still asks for primordial flame, but no longer cares which biome it comes from.
    • The bird kami now asks only for Charged Circuits to be crafted.
  • The Luminopolis defeat adventures now only provide credit for the first 3 mobs from any source.
  • Adventure Outposts found in Luminopolis can no longer be damaged.
  • A Donation Station has been added to the Adventure Outposts found in Luminopolis.
    • Donating Plasmium, Charged Circuits, Logic Loops, or Memory Matrices give a chance to receive Adventure boxes.
    • Rampage Bosses may also be summoned at these Donation Stations for the same cost as crafting a Beacon.
  • The Plasmium costs for Beacons and summoning rampage bosses has been increased as they can now be summoned immediately.
  • Completing Trovian Outpost Adventures has a chance to grant a Locked Adventurine Strongbox.
  • The Locked Adventurine Strongbox requires an Adventurine Strongbox Key to open. These keys can be obtained from Outpost Merchants.
  • The Locked Adventurine Strongboxes can contain allies (including a pinata ally appropriate to the current season), a mount, rarely a non-tradable costume, or very rarely a tradable costume.
Store
  • The first time each credit pack is purchased it now gives an extra 20% credits!
  • The Level 25 Pack has arrived. Purchase this pack to receive an empowered gem box of each type plus a Class Boost: Level 25
    • The Class Boost: Level 25 is a new item that, when consumed, sets the current class to level 25. It will set the class to level 25 regardless of the level the class is at when used, although it cannot be used once the class is level 25 or over. It is not affected by any kind of experience multiplier.
    • Class Boost: Level 25 cannot be used on trial classes or classes that are already over level 25.
  • Replaced the Power Deal at 2500 PR for 5 Ninth Lives with one for 105 Dragonite for 1250 credits.
Additional Updates
  • A Class Gem Key is now granted when each class reaches level 25. Note these classes must be switched to in order to receive this grant.
  • Additional rare allies can now be found in the Ally Habitats produced at the Harvesting Station.
  • Geode Topside "Large Dungeons" are now more likely to be 5-Star as opposed to 3-Star.
  • Down with Lairs, up with 1 star dungeons! Lairs now only refer the dead ends in geode caves, instead of also referring to some 1 star dungeons.
  • Increased the amount of 1-Star Dungeons which spawn in the "Saurian Swamp" sub-biome in Jurassic Jungle.
  • To alleviate performance issues for some users, updraft trees in the Primal Preserve sub-biome of Jurassic Jungles are less common.
  • Fixed an issue where the Atlas could become unresponsive after resizing the window.
  • The “Gather 3 Trovians” objective spawns slightly less frequently and gives slightly better loot.
  • Luminopolis and Neon City are now slightly different colors on the world map.
  • Thalassian's Biome in the Drowned Worlds now has a claw icon on the world map.
  • Empty "Open Lava Seas" now exist in the Igneous Islands world. There isn't anything to do here, but it sure makes the map look nicer.
  • Daughter of the Moon's "Backslash" attack should now do enough damage to one-shot even the most powerful of Trovians.
  • Attacking the Spikewalker in Shadow Tower as a melee character should be significantly easier.
  • Shapestone ore is now more common in the Medieval Highlands worlds.
  • Cinnabar no longer spawns in the Medieval Highlands world.
  • Some of the early Golden Thread steps have been tweaked to reduce redundancy and increase accessibility.
  • The Qubesly ally now gives 2 jump in addition to superstition.
  • The Ludini, Patron of Playfullness and Sarsaponia, The Pristine dragons have returned the autofire ability to be exclusive to Za'Hadeen, Heart of the Flame.
  • Saltwater Sam has packaged the "Worn Sail" in with the SS Dinghy, and now offers Lootseeker's Mainsail, designed by Jusiv!
  • Spear Vault Style can now be obtained with Super Style Stashes.
  • A Spear Vault Style Stash recipe has been added to Runecrafting at the Runecarver rank.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause some collection unlockers (like the Super Style Stash) to erroneously message that all collectables have already been unlocked.
  • Deconstructing fish at a compost bench now gives all of the rewards instead of just a trophy.
  • Trial classes can no longer gain experience beyond level 4.
  • Experience coins now give errors when used on trial or max level classes instead of silently not working.
  • Some of the allies from the Promo section have been moved to the Dev Dream section and can now be acquired by using Dev Dream Ally Boxes.
  • Renamed "Cosmic Empowered Gem Box" and "Citaria's Watery Treasure Urn" to "Empowered Cosmic Gem Box" and "Empowered Water Gem Box".
  • The Crystallogy section of the Geode Adventures Tracker has been removed.
  • Fixed a bug with /clublog where it sometimes would get confused about a club's log if the club has more than one name.
  • The Moon Goddess has chilled out a bit. Moonlight bulbs will now disappear after 3 hours instead of 1.
  • Mounts that plant seeds will no longer avoid club world caps.
  • The Ship to Geode will finally depart the hub once it changes to winter.
  • Stiltsticher enemies should now be easier to hit in combat.
  • Corrected some grey voxels on Armored Abyss Assailant.

Unable to access tab 2/3/4 in personal chest

My account was transferred a while back and I'm unable to access tabs 2/3/4 and they won't unlock each time I change worlds like in the past. This seriously hinders testing as I can't access more than 1/2 of my stored items...

Lifesteal vs Special Enemies

Would it be possible to get damage-based lifesteals (like Revenant's passive) to work off of damage that would have been dealt before being reduced to 1 on special enemies like the Leviathans/Rampage Bosses/Moontouched Menace?

I thought being in 5 clubs caused the issue, guess that wasn't it.

because I've had it drop before on Live after leaving 2/5 clubs and changing worlds in the past (imgur.com)

Have you devs tried with a new account, create two clubs, and changing primaries every day?

if our pc community tries perhaps we can nail this annoying bug once and for all.

I'd love to give you an ETA, but with factors outside of my control I can't give one with any confidence. As such, we need to keep Trove offline.Since the downtime exceeded our original 12 hour estimate, we'll be adding more to our original compensation plan. Once the move is complete, we'll reassess and update you all with the full details. But there is some good news! Our Public Test Server (PTS) is up with our next patch, Into the Deep. You can find the patch notes here. We invite you to come check it out while we wait!--Phantasie

Harvest Timers / Update Issues

Are there plans to roll back the timers on plants 24 hours (or however long this takes) or are a bunch of people going to lose harvests, in some cases very large amounts, because of this update that is taking all day? I have well over 1 million flux in harvest material that is not able to be collected.

Today i start PTS in German language (PC). Had to unlock tab 2, 3, 4. Got all my inventory storerd there.

I changed language to English. The same happened, tab 1+5 was always aktiv und full of my items.

Relogg (English). Again I had to unlock 2, 3, 4. After that its inventory was ok.

So, tab1 and tab5 was always right, the other tabs were locked after every log in.

Timmense, the Powerful Pontoon Leviathan

It seems like this exact Leviathan is harder to kill because most of the shots are not registering. The shots are hitting, but the damage is not being dealt. It seems like when the Leviathan is not moving more shots are being counted, but that requires some more testing.

Hello Trovians,
It’s been over 4 fantastic years of Trove! It’s a time to celebrate with our community and share with you all where we are headed. We come to you today with exciting insights with comments from Richard Barnes, Executive Producer and Coby West, Designer. Let’s get started with a special message from Richard!

“I can’t emphasize enough that the Trove team is dedicated to creating fun and meaningful updates on all platforms. To ensure that upcoming updates are properly designed, engineered and tested, the process may take longer than usual due to the team being a small one. As we are adapting our development process, we want to make sure our plans were solidified before discussing them publicly. Being able to talk confidently about this was, and is, important to us. We know that being uncertain about what is to come on Trove may be difficult and that is why we want to thank you for your patience and continuous support.”

Before we continue, let’s recall the recent change on updates. PC and consoles both get the same content it just varies on when each platform is patched. As Richard explains:
“We have broken parity between our PC and Console updates. We touched on this in our last Team Letter in November and on the game’s official forums (here). PC players will get newer content beforehand to help us squish bugs and get balances tweaked which will ultimately lead to console players getting smoother versions later!”
With that being said, here is a preview of what to expect next on Trove!
Content Updates – PC

Four types of content updates for new gameplay, features, and bug fixing:
  • Major Content Update – Focused around a major feature like Crystal Combat or Gardening
  • Minor Content Update – A gameplay enhancement, like Bomber Royale Season 2
  • Quality of Life Update – Improvements to the gameplay experience, focusing on bug fixes.
  • Hotfixes – Small updates, as required, targeting new or critical issues.
The plan is to release two Major, two Minor and two Quality of Life Updates per year, alternating through each. We will continue to release Hotfixes every other Tuesday, as needed.
Content Updates – Console

  • Console players will get all types of updates (this combines Major, Minor, Quality of Life, and Hotfix improvements) rolled into one ultimate update.
  • The plan is to release an ultimate update like this to consoles at least twice per year, just like how Crystal Combat was released at the beginning of this year and Going Green came out recently.
  • Of course, consoles will still get targeted updates and Hotfixes as needed, typically on Tuesdays.
Events – PC and Consoles

  • These are our 2-week events that mix up the gameplay and provide an extra set of Adventures, such as Luxion’s Spring Cleaning and Splendid Summer.
  • Our goal is to have events at least every other month, and possibly more. These events will continue to be released for all platforms at the same time.
Now on to the Design side! We have several great updates planned for the rest of 2019. We are excited to talk about our design philosophies, both surrounding our upcoming content and about Trove in general.

“Our recent update, Going Green, focused on Trove’s non-combat systems and making gardening even more fun and captivating. Immediately after Going Green, we introduced an update that changed up leaderboards.” -Coby West, Designer
Before we get into future patch content, we want to share our two overarching design pillars:
  1. Allowing people to play Trove exactly how they want to play (as long as it isn’t hurting others or the servers).
  2. Ensuring Trove’s systems are accessible and understandable for all players.
The leaderboard systems were recently changed as Trove’s philosophy around leaderboards is to get them in a place where you can measure your skills and efforts against that of other players. This competition takes different forms for Shadow Tower and Statistic leaderboards. Coby would like to go into detail as to why those changes were made and address concerns some players may have.
“For Shadow Tower leaderboards, specifically the speed running leaderboards, the competition is for prestige in the form of name colors. Currently, the play space for competition in Shadow Towers is small and utilizes mechanics beyond what was originally intended. We are looking forward to adding more options and mechanics for speed runners in the future.

Additionally, with the way Shadow Towers are currently set up, when a Trovian opens a Shadow Tower portal they immediately have 4 worlds created for them. The objective then, for most players, is to blitz through those 4 worlds as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, each new world being opened causes some additional server processing to take place. When many Shadow Tower portals are being opened at once, for example on Mondays, it leads to an increase in server latency. This, along with the limited play space for speed runners is a priority issue for us. While the next Adventure patch will poke at these issues a little bit, the large feature we’re working on, code-named “Delves”, is meant to address the server latency more directly and comprehensively. We are looking forward to saying more about Delves as we get closer to their launch later this year!” -Coby West, Designer

Moving forward, we can’t wait to tell you about the next update, From the Deep! From the Deep will be polishing Trove’s adventure systems and adding new bosses for Trovians with the highest Power Rank and Light to compete against. Beyond that, we are planning to introduce a whole new feature that we hope will take a new place in your hearts and minds. Here’s Coby once again with even more upcoming news to share!

“For our next patch, From the Deep, we are addressing some of the issues with the original Adventure patch. With the current adventure and club levelling systems, smaller and newer clubs have lower experience caps and only have access to adventures that take longer for fewer rewards. With the new adventure system, we have rebalanced the way club adventures are offered and rewarded. Levelling up a Club and having a Heroes Respite will still improve the number of adventures provided from completing their quests, all players should be able to complete adventures and gain Club experience at around the same rate, regardless of the Club’s level.
All new gargantuan foes, called Leviathans, will be found lurking around Geode Topside in the upcoming From the Deep update. Leviathans are tough monsters that will provide a challenge to even the most fearsome of Trovians. Taking a Leviathan down has a bonus chance to earn Crystal Three equipment and exclusive rewards. We look forward to seeing Trovians overcome this new challenge of epic proportions.” -Coby West, Designer

We appreciate you for taking the time and reading this as we took a closer look into Trove’s development. We are excited for you to be a part of the changes coming ahead.
Should you have any thoughts you’d like to share with us, please let us know in the
forums or the Trovesaurus Discord channel.

Thanks,

PTS 4th "Gem & Gear Improvement" missing in Builder's Crafting Bench

To kill the Leviathan I check my gear und gems for more light [http://forums.trovegame.com/showthre...toon-Leviathan]. 3 x C3 and only one is not max. pr 32k+ ...

I want to check my Personal Chest for better gems, but now tab 2-4 was not able to unlock, I think this is temporarily, because it work before [http://forums.trovegame.com/showthre...er-every-login] and there are enough coins to unlock ...

So I went to my pretty fresh PTS club to check the boosts on the gems ... and oops, yes I may be blind ... I could not find the bench, and I could not find where to craft it.

I think it should be in the "Builder's Crafting Bench" in "Gem & Gear Improvement":

I have been a pretty avid player for a little over a year now, i think. On PS4.... With this downtime, i broke out the old laptop & was wanting to try out the PTS but I'm not sure if I'm able to access it having no lvl20 pc character. Is that the case? If not, how in the world do I access it? Is there a specific login or no? Sorry, I'm just trying to get my fix LOL

Bug: Infinite Class Gem Keys

$

Each time, I enter a new world, I end up getting another Class Gem key into my inventory.

  • Time: PTS, 28th August, 2019
  • Context: Each time I enter any new world, I get an additional Class Gem Key added into my Adventure inventory.
  • Expected: I expected that you only get a key for each class over level 25 at most.
  • Observed: I keep getting more and more Class Gem Keys. At 31 Keys I stopped testing.
  • Repro Steps: Just enter a new world with an Account that did previously have all classes at level 30. Maybe this also works if only 1 is at 30, but I can not test this possibility.

Possible oversight: Fragile Tendril Torch does loot collect into old Arena Coins

  • Time: PTS, 28th August 2019
  • Context: After killing one of those new bosses in U10, I did get a Fragile Tendril Torch. I checked what loot collecting gives and it turns out to produce an old Arena Coin.
  • Expected: I expected that it would produce a Geode- related item.
  • Observed: I get a seemingly unrelated Arena Coin when loot collecting the torch.
  • Repro Steps: Kill a boss, get a torch and loot collect it.

Small oversight on quest text for "Mine Infinium Ore"

Long story short: It doesn't have any description in it. It just has the quest title, an X/40 indicator, and the 75 Adventurine reward. The other quest NPC's at least give some description for their quests, so why not the Dragonfire Peaks outpost NPC?
