What had happened:
- Sold 3000 Fragments of Wonder. (Two listings.)
- Hadn't claimed my flux from the market in a week or so.
- Listing read "Expired" opposed to "Sold", and "Cancel" opposed to "Claim".
- Clicking Cancel returned my already sold items.
Assumed steps to reproduce:
- Sell something.
- Don't claim until expired.
- Claim item back.
Obviously this is bad, because if this works as it seems from my experience just now I'd theoretically be able to sell expensive items for 1 flux, buying it onto and alt, and duplicating the items entirely. Risk of someone else buying the items would be reduced by the coding of a bot.
Now, I say this is a Potential Market Duplication Exploit as I am unaware of how these dynamics effect the buyer, let alone how consistent this would happen, along-side anything set forth to detect shady transactions.
Here's to hoping I don't get ransacked by a mob of angry exploiters.
