Lost PR and Contest Ranks Post patch

The boxes opened contest was basically wiped and it says I only opened 16 boxes when really I opened 1000 and I have lost about 300 PR on all of my classes, also there is A LOT of lag and crashing going on.

Why can't we patch without breaking the game?
