If you're like me, you spend all week grinding away to get your classes to a higher PR when they are in the class contest rotation. You check your standing Sunday before you go to bed. Come Monday morning, though you don't get the rewards you were expecting. Sure, some of this could be due to last-minute grinding, but let's be honest: The re-gemenator "penalty" for unsocketing gems is NOT working. People are still putting their best gems on the classes in the contest at the last moment before the contests end. I have come up with an idea that should end this problem once and for all. Empowered gems should be like legendary tomes - once they are unsocketed they go to sleep and cannot be re-socketed until Monday morning. This will ensure that empowered gems cannot be passed around to exploit the class contests. Sure, someone who accidentally or carelessly un-sockets empowered gems will be upset, but they will learn to put more thought and planning into their gems. Normal gems should keep the re-gemenator penalty since they don't affect PR nearly as much as the Empowered gems do. I am going to try to mention this to the devs in the next livestream if I can, but I wanted to post this here first. I am finally getting some of my classes to where they can hit the top 250 during class contests and am fed up with people exploiting this glaring problem. Please consider this solution.
