Terraforming Issue

So, used a terraformer on a section of my club world. The buildings that had already been placed, were not in the area that was to be changed, but it destroyed them anyway. It also did not generate the land depicted as per the terraformer. It said lost islands, instead it generated one tiny island of sand, thats it...

Can this be undone?
