Empowered Gem Abilities

Now this is a topic I've brought up in a previous post I made and this is also an idea that someone else has mentioned (the username of the person I have forgotten of). The reason I bring it up again is because I really think its a good idea.

Now, empowered gems. These are really nice to equip. However, there is something about them that makes them really annoying. That of course, as you can guess is the RNG. Not even going into leveling tem up, you have to hope its stellar, you have to hope its the right color, you have to hope for the right stats,yu have to hope for the 3 stars, and you have to hope for the right ability. Honestly. enough is enough! Take out a bit of the RNG!

So what is an idea to fix it? Make it so we can change the ability in the same way we can change our weapon's aura. I want to fous on the ability specifically because unlike the other things on the list I made above, Ability along with color are th only things that make a gem unequipable. If its a good gem but with an ability that you already have, you can't equip it. This way a bit of the RNG is taken out because you can control this factor.
