This is a formal complaint/request for attention w.r.t. random invites in game.
That anyone can easily right click on your name and invite you is, well, sort of handy. Especially when you're dealing with someone new and trying to "coach" them into inviting you.
But when you're playing the game and people just randomly invite you to whatever they're doing it's beyond annoying. First it mucks up the play controls (like panning), 2nd it blocks your view, and lastly, it completely kills the immersion level.
It's getting to where I don't want to answer questions in global because I know I'm going to get 5 invites within a minute if I do. Micromanaging the invite screen isn't why I play trove.
The most basic solution would be a simple check box that blocks invites from anyone you have not had a 2-way conversation with within the last 30 seconds. Alternatively, an actual ACL solution to allow only accepting invites from (this being a dropdown or radio set): 1) Nobody, 2) friends, 3) friends and club members, 4) friends, club members and friends of same, or 5) anyone.
Another approach might be to allow invites based on where you are. Club members can invite you when you're in the clubhouse, randoms can invite you when you're in the hub, when you're adventuring or in ST, more tight controls (this approach hasn't been well thought through at all; open to suggestions).
Could you *please* do *anything* to address this? Even just letting us turn off invites altogether would be better than the current state. I'll micromanage a checkbox if I must, but a more solid solution (like the ACL list described above) would be much more pleasant.
Thanks for reading.
