Life Leeching Flaws

First I'm not entirely sure if this was always been like this. But every since one of the MoP patches the life leech has been toned down to only leech once per attack (perhaps this has always been?). So If your sword swing hits multiple enemies allies like samantha will count all those hits as one hit toward life leeching. This is the same goes for ranged attacks with piercing effects.

As a ninja I don't recall ever having troubles when it comes to cursed souls spawning a ton of enemies until recently last few weeks. I am in u9 and even have sometimes trouble surviving in u7 because I am reliant on the HP leeching. In u7 I would kill everything with one haxstar and just leech once, eventually I am out of HP. Unless of course I kill one by one which seems to defeat the purpose. I also have to note I have been using unleashed power vial even before MoP and only now I can't seem to make any use of the most expensive vial in the game I am forced to switch out a expensive vial for nothing. You all might be thinking that I should just use DD, but it doesn't allow me to build my ninja the way I like it to.

If anyone could tell me if this is normal or not that would be great. I've mentioned this in the Bugs section but seems to be ignored like the rest of my reports. I have sort of giving up on reporting bugs and have to go alternative routes. Thanks.
