Couple of issues I have with the Mantle of Power

These are a few issues I have with the Mantle of Power update as of the 22nd April, going in with what I'd call an 'average' level of preperation (15 Titan Souls and 13 Lunar Souls + a fresh tower week worth, and no junk radiants pre-made).

So I'm gonna get straight into it by saying this, All-class empowered gems are poorly implemented, here's why I think so.

They are incredibly RNG dependent.

1 - You need it to have the correct socket colour
2 - Has to have the correct stats and damage type, if it doesn't have 2*s on it, you need to pay to reveal those stats.
3 - Has to have a gem ability that you currently do not have on a gem. if you have 2 extremely nice, perfect stat stellar gems, but they both make you do a bit of AoE DoT damage, tough luck because ya gotta choose one.
4 - All that might seem fine if you look at it and say 'but you can just farm the gems, right?' no, you can't. You can get a max of 3 per week (Maybe more if you get lucky with gem booster boxes), this being with an ultra Daughter of the Moon (Will refer to as DotM from now on) clear, which most players won't do. so make that 2. since you buy empowered gem boxes for 1 Lunar Soul each.
4b - To add onto that, you might get a Class Gem key INSTEAD of an empowered gem. if you do normal DotM because you can't handle hard, and get a Class Gem key from your empowered box, you can't use it until you reach 5000 Power Rank (Will refer to as PR from now on), you have to wait an entire week to attempt again. I'm sure as Mantle of Power is developed, there will be more ways to obtain them.
4c (fix) - You can buy the Shaper's Star key separately, how about a Class Gem key that costs lunar souls, instead of cramming it into a gem box? I know it makes sense, but the beginners or the 3k power ranks that just want 5k get screwed pretty hard by this, they have to hope they don't get a key so they can actually get a gem to get them to the point where they can use the gem. you could say 'Why not just save the key?' that could be weeks for some people, of just waiting for ST reset day so they can hope for a gem, don't forget about the other RNG factors on the gem too. If it's bad, more waiting.

Ok, so that's a wall of text on gems. about the new Uber worlds, Uber 7 is fine, you can jump in there at 2.5k PR and clear it fairly quickly. but this is a critical post.

1 - As soon as I hit 5k PR, I instantly took my 5 Shaper's Star keys to the nearest Everdark, and a few Class Gem keys, too. I had 130k hp and was getting 1 shot, death defying after death defying. Had to refill my flasks after each 'Colosseum' if you will.

2 - Death-Defying Vial is almost required: Uber 8 adventure worlds too, as of writing this I have 6555 PR, 291.6k health 30k physical damage, Boomerangers class gem and a class level of 27 (I know class level is mostly irrelevant). BUT, to my surprise, 1* bosses (regular small dungeons) still 1 shot me through nearly 300k health, and eat up a death defying. In most cases, multiple of them. In most cases multiple of them. 'But you can dodge the charge attack you noob, get good' 1 mistake and your dead instantly. also, ranged charge attackers do the same. Bosses that spawn decoys also hit full damage, try dodging tons of those while still getting in damage WITHOUT Death Defying in Uber 8. Also trash mobs can charge attack you, they still eat up all of my health.

I'm not complaining because I can't complete/farm U8 dungeons, I can. I've been farming it for hours BECAUSE I have death defying. I'm thinking of those that do not own it. What are they going to do?

So basically, the 2 main issues I have with the Mantle of Power and how to fix them (2 is a couple, right?)

1 - Empowered gems are too RNG based.

Fix to 1 - Split Class Gem keys out of Empowered boxes, those that do normal DotM get screwed easily. Put Class Gem keys for sale in the Shadow Market for Lunar Souls, multiple souls each since they are an uncommon drop in Empowered boxes. Empowered gems only roll damage stats for the class the player currently is (could lead to issues of people being on wrong classes while upgrading, though, but it's something). And finally, a random idea I just came up with, coloured empowered gem boxes in the Shadow Market that only give you the coloured gem of your choice. With the RNG stat wall there, getting only 1-3 (maybe an extra if you're lucky) a week will still take months to get a perfect stat stellar gem, unless you're lucky.

2 - Death-defying is a requirement

Fix to 2 - Simple fix, drop enemy charge damage in Ubers 8+ That's all. it'll fix all of the survivability problems and make Death-Defying no longer a requirement for Uber 8+. or maybe even, dare I say it, find a way to nerf Death-Defying. Just so we can have a bit more choice with how we build. I'd love to try chaos vial, but I'm bound to this thing to not get insta-killed. Again, I'm not saying Uber 8 is impossible to clear currently, Lots of us are farming it currently, but I'm sure a majority of you are using Death-Defying to do so.
