I have been running numerous comparisons and have been trying to keep up with all the changes that keep happening for gems. One change such as the rapidly changing stars and lowered PR on all of my gems that are below stellar. However, the one change that has made me question everything the most is why they decided to give you almost 0 extra dust when you level up a gem and then replace it.
For example, the difference in dust that a gem is worth between a level 1 and level 9 stellar gem is only 11 dust when dismantling. This is WAY too low in my opinion. The cost to level up a stellar gem starts at 150 dust and my level 9 gem would only give me 161 dust if I wanted to replace it. Just to get that stellar gem to level 9 in the first place has costed me at least 2500 dust with the level ups and the fact that I receive less than 1% of the total invested dust back is almost heartbreaking.
I understand that it is a gamble if you are leveling up gems to see if they are worth it or not once they start gaining stats, but don't punish the players that spend those hours doing that with almost no payback in return. I would love to hear everyone else's feedback on this issue.
