Seeing all these negative views about the state of our once favourite game, I thought it would be nice to revisit the thing that brought about 90% of all players of Trove: classes. The game has such a variety of unique and interesting characters to play which probably piqued all of our interests when we first heard about it. So I'll introduce some of my own concepts since making our own class ideas is a really fun way to think about the future of Trove.

Delugionist
Weapon Type: Staff
Origin: Drowned World
Stats & Abilities: Low HP, medium damage, high utility, high defensive capabilities
The Delugionist specializes in using the powers of the heavenly clouds to bring down a torrent of attacks or shroud the enemy in weakening effects.
Passive: Stormy Mood - A storm cloud follows you wherever you go, shocking nearby enemies with lightning bolts.
-A small cloud forms above your head/behind you while you are attacking with M1 or M2, and grows up to a certain size
-The frequency of these lightning bolts increase as the cloud gets bigger
-The bolts deal medium damage within a small radius, and has a chance to stun
-At maximum size, a giant bolt shocks the ground around you, stunning all enemies within range before dispersing
-Cooldown of 10 seconds before building up again
M1: Torrent - Shoots forth a steady and strong stream of water right in the enemy's face.
-Similar to the TR and the Dracolyte, the normal attack is not affected by attack speed.
-A flood of water sprays out radially slowing the enemies caught in it with a very small knockback effect
-Low damage, but constant attack and stacks slowing effect
M2: Mystifying Mist - Sets down a fog that hinders the ability to act.
-Hold down M2 to leave a trail of mist behind you, energy is continuously drained while making mist
-Enemies within the mist are slowed and deal half damage
Ability 1: Acid Rain - Sets down rain clouds that drizzles harsh chemicals - to the enemy.
-Up to three large rain clouds can be set down
-Enemies caught in the rain take continuous damage
-Enemies also receive a poisonous DoT effect for 5 seconds
-Lasts up to 7 seconds per cloud and takes 40 energy per cloud.
Ability 2: Hyperreal Hurricane - A large hurricane sweeps over the battlefield.
-A large hurricane is placed around you and moves in a random path
-The hurricane lasts for 10 seconds while shrinking before dispersing
-Enemies take the greatest damage when not in the eye of the hurricane, but they're trapped when they are
-Sucking effect, drags enemies towards the center
-Takes about 90 energy and has a cooldown of about 45 seconds.
Empowered Gem: Soothing Rain - While the enemies suffer the acid rain, allies heal instead.
-As long as allies are under the Acid Rain, they will heal HP continuously
Predicted Playstyle: The Delugeionist is great at crowd control, slowing mobs while also letting allies hammer down their own attacks. They can also keep enemies from chasing them with the M1 and passive. Setting down a hurricane to pull enemies together and then setting up M2 and Ability 1 would make this class a powerful one.
Searing Sharpshooter
Weapon Type: Bow
Origin: Igneous Islands
Stats & Abilities: Medium HP, high damage
The Searing Sharpshooter adapted to the high fiery peaks and lava oceans of the Igneous Islands to learn to merge his
soul with the power of flame.
Passive: Fiery Passion - Sets your enemies aflame with your passion for fire.
-M1 has a flame DoT effect that stacks upon each hit. The more hits the enemy receives, the greater the damage.
-Stacks up to 3 times, 60% damage up to a total of 180% damage per second, lasts 5 seconds after the last hit
-Also doubles damage dealt when standing in lava and negates all fire damage from traps and lava
M1: Blazing Arrow - Ignites and shoots arrows.
-Shoots an arrow on fire aimed by the crosshair.
-Dependent on attack speed
-Has a range about the same as the Boomeranger with a bow
M2: Powder Keg - Brings out highly explosive kegs of gunpowder.
-Tosses out one powder keg, about 40 energy each
-Enemies on fire that touch the powder kegs cause it to explode, and may cause a chain reaction with other kegs
-Each keg exploded leaves behind a trail of fire, which adds to the passive's DoT stacks
-Has a medium explosion range with high damage
Ability 1: Rain of Fire - Send forth blazing arrows upon your enemies.
-Transforms the next M1 attack to contain 10 arrows, with increased damage per arrow
-Can be aimed at one enemy for max concentrated damage, into a group for AOE, or into the sky for max range
-Takes 50 energy and has a cooldown of 20 seconds
Ability 2: Meteor Burst - Summon a great meteor to smite your foes.
-A large meteor crashes down on the earth with huge explosive range
-Enemies caught within range take major damage on impact, knocked back, and take heavy DoT damage that stacks in conjunction with the passive (300% damage/sec for 10 seconds)
-Takes 100 energy, has a cooldown of 2 minutes
Empowered Gem: Meteor Shower - Prepare a meteor shower to cleanse away your targets.
-Several other smaller meteors follow the initial giant one, these deal less damage but are more spread out
Predicted Playstyle: The Searing Sharpshooter relies on the ignite effect to deal the most damage when stacked effectively. Enemies on fire from the lava could also take DoT damage from the passive and the meteor, which whittles down their HP quickly.
Angelic Aviator
Weapon Type: Gun
Origin: Sky Realm/Cursed Skylands
Stats & Abilities: Medium HP, medium damage, high mobility, high evasiveness, high stability
The Angelic Aviator once served under the Sun Goddess but was trapped in the Cursed Skylands when the Moon Goddess took over. The Angelic Aviator is unique in that it can attack while mounted on a plane!
Note: When other mounts besides those of the Aviator's unique plane mount (or even the War Plane!) are set to Z or when not on a mount, the Aviator uses a different attacking style. Does not attack in fly mode when using wings.
Passive: Heavenly Flight (flying)
-When flying, greatly decrease the rate of descent
-When attacking, greatly decrease forward motion
-Lasers lock onto one enemy at a time
-Camera angles changed to effectively target enemies (1st person maybe?)
-Flasks can be used without dismounting, but interrupts attacking
-Dodging does a barrel roll
Radiant Blessings (grounded)
-Increase critical chance by 20% and critical damage by 10%
-Boosts HP and Energy regeneration when grounded
-Increases base jump by 6
M1: Sun Powered Lasers (flying) - Rapidly fires lasers blessed by the Sun Goddess
-High fire rate, further enhanced by attack speed
-Shoots two bullets at once, for twice the damage per fire
-Bullets are large enough for small AoE hits
Halo Shot (grounded) - Shoots halos of pure light.
-Fires rings of light that pierces enemies.
-Dependent on attack speed
-Long ranged
M2: Heavenly Ascension (flying) - Rise up higher with the divine spirit.
-Boosts height by about 8 blocks
-Consumes 80 energy
Angel Ray (grounded) - Fire off a charged beam of light that pierces enemies and heals allies.
-Hold M2 for more damage and bigger healing
-Enemies caught in the beam take damage, allies heal a small amount of HP
-Max charged at 1 second
-Consumes 40 energy
Ability 1: Splash of the Sun (flying) - Drops a holy grenade.
-Drops a light bomb with large AoE and heavy damage
-Does critical damage against shadow/undead enemies
-Plays the "Hallelujah" sound effect every time you use the skill
-Cooldown of 5 seconds, consumes 60 energy
Dawn Caller (grounded) - Flash a bright light to blind your foes.
-A flash of light hits enemies around you in a short range for medium damage
-Enemies are stunned for 1 second and aggro resets
-Cooldown of 5 seconds, consumes 60 energy
Ability 2: Shining Brilliance (flying) - Coercies your foes to the light at the end of the tunnel.
-Mobs gather under you and "bow" (some have that animation)
-Aggro reset and temporary "stun" that lasts until the skill duration ends or is attacked
-Mobs also take triple damage under the effect
-Lasts 5 seconds, large range that reaches the ground
-Cooldown of 1 minute, costs 90 energy
Judgment Day (grounded) - Beams of light shoot down to the ground.
-High power beams strike enemies for major damage in a random spot in a large range of effect
-Beams heal allies if it strikes them
-Take 30% damage while the skill is running
-Cooldown of 1 minute, costs 90 energy.
-Lasts 10 seconds, about 2 beams per second
Predicted Playstyle: Say your prayers because you're under the Angelic Aviator's mercy! The class is flexible in that it can fire rapidly from the skies while avoiding melee damage or it can stay on the ground for healing/support and heavy damage.
