Recently, while playing Trove, I noticed that I wanted controller support for various reasons, but I only had a spare PS2 controller. This guide is for anyone who wants to use a PS2 controller with Trove.
First, you will need a PS2 controller to usb converter. I used this one: http://www.amazon.com/Dual-Controlle...troller+to+usb.
Connecting it is very easy, you just need to plug the controller into the adapter, and plug the adapter into your computer.
Next, I went to the Game Controller settings in Windows 10, it should work similarly in other versons, because the controller plugged was not the default one, and Windows was trying to use the slot that wasn't plugged in. I just selected the other "Twin USB Joystick" to use as default, setting up my next step.
I downloaded http://www.oneswitch.org.uk/2/I/JoyToKey/JoyToKey.htm to set up the keybindings for the controller, as changing them in Trove didn't work for some reason. I fiddled with the settings to get the analog sticks to work properly, and then set up the keybindings to look like this:![]()
Then, it all magically worked, and I could use a PS2 controller with Trove!
Anyways, I hope this tutorial helped someone, because it certainly helped me.
