After a year and a half of playing Trove, I decided it was time to pack it in.
It's not a begrudging departure, I enjoyed the game a lot... perhaps too much. It's easy to get addicted to such a great game but there's more important things in life than Trove.
I urge anyone who knows that they are spending too many hours sat on a laptop or PC, gaming or wading through social media or whatever pulls them in to think about how much time they're wasting. I know many people who like me are prone to this type of addiction and I understand how easy it is to escape in to BUT the reality is the real world is so much more important and has more to offer than these fantasy worlds.
This is not an anti-Trove post, it's hopefully understood to be a positive post to address the common case of internet/gaming/computer addiction. All things in moderation. I find it hard to jump in and out and so for me it's farewell.
Today I gave away everything including 35k flux, a club and items of combined worth around 15000k. At the end of it I felt like a weight lifted from my shoulders. For me it's closure.
The person I gave it to was nice and patient with me (obviously took many visits to the trade post) and I trust they'll have the creativity to keep building the clubworld I started (Enlightened Ones).
The best bit about the game for me is seeing the fantastic clubworlds that have been created by architects who've shown tremendous creativity! That said it's now time for me to bid Trove a fond farewell!
It's been a pleasure :)
